I recently posted an article on how to build a peace movement. I noted that education is the one of the key pillars in building such a movement.
Signing petitions is the lowest rung of educational action, precisely because it involves the least effort. Nonetheless it does serve an important function.
This petition articulates principles in line with my definition of a peace movement, so I can whole-heartedly ask my readers to sign it. But I would also ask you to do something active in your own community – however small that action might be – to help the cause of peace.
