Bradley Burston provides some interesting insights into what’s happening with the Road Map. Considering that now the U.S. is talking about a war that will last months, I’m sure Sharon won’t lose any sleep. And given pre-war behaviors, Bush will probably ignore Blair, and placate Sharon. But you never know. Here’s Tony Blair:

“I know that there is a great deal of cynicism and skepticism within the Muslim and Arab world about whether statements made recently about the publication of the road map and about the desire to take this process forward are simply statements that will be made in the context of military action in Iraq and then forgotten. They will not be forgotten. They will be taken forward, and they will be done.”

At the recent anti-war rally in NY I saw someone with a sign reading: “Blair is a wanker” Not very nice (look it up on dictionary.com). I haven’t yet made up my mind about him - is he really good-hearted but delusional or just plain delusional? He stood up to his own public and parliament, so maybe he’ll have the guts to stand up to Bush as well. I hope so.
