A few months back, I wasn’t sure I was going to vote for Obama. He is way too conservative for my taste, particularly in foreign policy. His appointment of Biden reinforced that feeling. Since I currently live in New York, I feel it is a safe state for Obama.  So I have the “luxury” of a protest vote with a third party candidate. This would also serve as a protest against the ridiculous electoral college system.

But as time passed, the stakes became too high. With each passing day Obama impressed me more and more, while McCain’s scariness increased exponentially. This endorsement from the New Yorker expresses precisely why I have decided to vote for Obama.
