Two articles about the hunger strike now underway, undertaken by the 7,500 Palestinian prisoners helg by Israel. The first describes their demands. The second is a reaction to Tzachi Hanegbi, Israel Ministor of Internal Security, callous remarks: “…as far as I am concerned they can strike for a day, a month and onto death.” That, in a nutshell, also describes the attitude of most Israelis to all Palestinians, not just the prisoners.
