I got this request in the mail today:
“Here is the web site for a petition protesting the conditions of imprisonment of Prof. Yigal Bronner of the Tel Aviv University. Yigal, a signatory of the Ometz le’Serev petition of reserve soldiers, has refused service in the Occupied Territories and has been detained in a prison facility not intended for soldiers, in particular reserve soldier, imprisoned for relatively minor infractures (which this would be) Rather, he is in a prison in which Palestinian political prisoners are kept. Yigal has been subjected to particularly harsh and abusive treatment, compared by those familiar with it as a ‘gulag.’”
“Please read, sign, and forward on to your friends and various lists.”
I would only add to the above, that you take this opportunity to equally and strongly protest the barbaric conditions of the Palestinians kept in these gulags. They don’t deserve to be there any more than Professor Bronner.
