Supporters of the Sharon government often argue that whatever moral qualms one might feel, Israel has no choice but to follow down its current path: “Palestinian terrorism must be stopped at any price.” This economic analysis and this military one, clearly show that the Sharon path is a dead end in every sense of that expression.

The final line of the piece says it all:

What more has to happen for the public to shake off its apathy and say: “We’ve had it up to here?”
