I recently mentioned how the IDF broke into an art exhibition about soldier testimonies regarding service in Hebron. Long time readers of this weblog know that Hebron is of special interest to me. I have written my own testimonies regarding my service in that city of the dead (which you can see here, here and here. The exhibition just opened a website. Ruth Hiller from New Profile also send along a copy of some of the testimonies, which you can read here.

Ruth Hiller writes:

Dear Friends, Some of you may be aware of this photo exhibition taken and shown by soldiers who have served in Hebron. The exhibit is highly controversial. It has drawn fantastic publicity and at the same time opened a window to all Israelis, giving us a chance to ask How did we let this go so far?, What price is the Palestinian population paying and going to pay for this Occupation?, What is the damage done to Israels soldiers? and Who makes it ok for a young man to go to Hebron and forget every decent quality he has learned his whole life? The impact of the exhibit, even on someone like myself who is aware of what has been happening in the territories, is enormous. The exhibit is now showing in the Knesset. Please take the time to go into the site too.

All the best, Ruth
