In total contrast to the Ghandi article, here is a piece on the most recent suicide bomber.


The author got a lot of flack about this article (more on that another time). I feel, however, it is essential to understand the motivations and circumstances that drive an otherwise normal person, to such a desparate act, no matter how abhorrent their action. Reading about these people, points out the futility of Israel’s so-called “security” policies and tactics – assuming the intention of these is to stop terror, not exacerbate it. Obviously the “security wall” is not giving Israelis any security.

And as Ghandi points out, Hanadi Jaradat’s brutal actions just led to more Palestinian mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers losing loved ones. Violence accomplishes nothing on either side except lead to more grief.
